Earth Wind & Fire After The Love

A gentleman was sitting quietly at the bar when a newcomer in town walked up, took a seat and observed, ” you look like you might have lost your best friend.”

“How did you know, ” the gentleman opened up to the friendly stranger. “I am just sitting here thinking about the good times I had…we had. My girl and I spent the best of times together. But something along the way caused changes. Slowly at first then as jobs, the challenges of travel, obligations crept in, we grew more distant. I am here tonight wishing for those times. I keep thinking, what now…After The Love Has Gone.”

This slow groove is a timeless reminder that no matter what, the feelings are still strong.

Lyrics weave beautifully with music that only EWF can emote. This 1979 hit was written by the great David Foster, Jay Gradon, and Bill Champlin. It was Billboards number 2 for two weeks. This song was turned down by Hall and Oates for writer exclusivity reasons. We are all glad EWF got it and added their timeless magic touch.
