K.D. Lang makes her maiden appearance on Billboard’s Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart (dated June 12), as Makeover debuts at No. 14. The remix set earned 2,700 equivalent album units, the bulk from album sales, according to MRC Data.

Junior Vasquez, Love to Infinity, Wamdue, St. Tropez and DJ Krush are just some of the remixers who tackled various lang songs on Makeover.

Lang makes her first visit to any Billboard dance chart since 2000, when she reached No. 25 on Dance Club Songs with “Summerfling.” She collected six entries on that list in 1994-2000, including four top 10s, with two hitting No. 1: “Lifted by Love” (1994) and “If I Were You” (1996). Remixed versions of all three tracks appear on Makeover.

Meanwhile, Lang has appeared on Billboard charts in each decade since making her debut on Top Country Albums in April 1987. In addition to her two Dance Club Songs No. 1s, she led Traditional Jazz Albums for 15 weeks in 2002-03 with Wonderful World, with Tony Bennett.

Lang also boasts top 10s on Adult Contemporary, Alternative Albums, Americana/Folk Albums, Top Country Albums and Top Rock Albums, among other tallies. She hit the Billboard Hot 100’s top 40 with her signature hit “Constant Craving” (No. 38, 1992) and has notched seven top 40 sets on the Billboard 200.

Shifting to the Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart, Regard, Troye Sivan and Tate McRae add a fifth week at No. 1 with “You.” It’s the longest-leading hit since McRae’s own “You Broke Me First.” also led for five frames in December-February.

Doja Cat claws at the No. 9 spot on Dance/Mix Show Airplay, pouncing from No. 17, with “Kiss Me More,” featuring SZA. The song is the second top 10 for each act. Along with mix show plays, the track is drawing significant spins at core-dance outlets including iHeartRadio’s Pride Radio and KQPS (Channel Q) Palm Springs, Calif. (The Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart measures radio airplay on a select group of full-time dance stations, along with plays during mix shows on nearly 80 top 40-formatted reporters.)

Andrew Rayel also hits into the Dance/Mix Show Airplay top 10 with “Silver Lining” (13-10). The move marks the trance master’s inaugural top 10 on any Billboard airplay chart; he previously hit Top Dance/Electronic Albums with Find Your Harmony (No. 24, 2014), among other chart showings. “Silver” is receiving core-dance airplay on leaders KMVQ-HD2 San Francisco, Music Choice’s Dance/EDM channel and iHeartRadio’s Evolution Network.
